I am an Istanbul-based independent typeface designer with a background in graphic design and advertising.

Taner Ardalı was born in Bulgaria in 1985. After completing his studies in Graphic Design at Anadolu University he worked as an art director in advertising agencies in Istanbul. He joined the Linotype in 2011 with his first typeface and his first font was released in 2015. He created several retail fonts, some of them achieving bestseller and best typefaces of the year lists on the platforms like Myfonts and Fontspring. He also designed many custom typefaces for the brands like GittiGidiyor, Macfit, Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi, Koç Okulu and Lumel Technologies. He runs his own foundry TAF Studio.
